Head Bob, Panting, Bouncing & Waving Hands

Libby is always so excited. She expresses herself so energetically. Now she is waving intentionally at mommy when she is feeding and as mommy is leaving for her work day. She does wave toward herself, but as Libby sees it that is waving.

Libby loves bobbing her head side to side. Especially while she is eating between bites, she must think it helps her chew.

She is going to have the strongest legs. (Just like Daddy, best legs at GHS 2000). She flexes her leg muscles and bounces on your hip all day long (if my arm could hold her all day long). That is how she keeps herself awake when she is getting tired as well.

Libby wildly waves her hands, and unintentionally hits when she is excited. She pants when she can't get any words out.Oh, the joys of an 8 month old. It is so fun to watch her develop.

Scooting...to Crawling

Libby can push herself backward, get on her tip toes and finger tips and scoot forward with her heels on her bottom while sitting, but crawling is still yet to come. That is how Grammy started crawling too, so it must run in the family.

Libby has found a way to maneuver her way to what she wants. It is only a matter of time. Baby proofing is next on the list. I have been plugging outlets with plastic stoppers and covering the crib rails. Good thing we don't have stairs.

Soon she will be walking. She is pulling herself up (with help) and taking steps while holding onto fingers. A whole new adventure to come. Right now she is holding onto the couch trying to get to the computer. What next?

Awakening

For the record never wake a sleeping baby. (Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Baby) Well don't worry most of us don't need to wake Libby she does that on her own at midnight, 2am, 3am, 4am, 5am, at 6am mommy and daddy need to get up for work anyway, but by then Libby is wide awake and delighted to have company. She acts like she does not need to sleep. Once we come to her rescue she is wide awake and all smiles. We can barely keep our eyes open, but no matter what time of the am it is, she is always adorable and a huge blessing. Please pray we all get rest and sleep.

Snow Angel

1 Nana Angel and 1 Libby Angel both are beautiful and delightful. Nebraska snowy winters are perfect for snow suits and fluffy white stuff.

Even in the cold weather Libby's smile is glowing and happy. This brings the Frosty movie to life for Libby. Thanks grandpapa for introducing us to Frosty. Stay warm.

More teeth for her fruits and veggies

Get ready for this one... now Libby has 3 teeth. Yep, she has a top tooth too. Libby like to use them on whatever is near, the side of the table, toys, mommy's shoulder...

She is now having Cheerios for snack, veggies (all kinds can't wait for Grandpa's in the Spring, Summer and Fall), fruits and water. Wow, I know big news. She smiles all teeth and and let's you know when she is done by biting her 3 teeth together. Hopefully soon she will be able to sign "all done" and "more please".

KLUV

Just wanted to let you know that the most amazing thing just happened with Libby. She had most of her cereal about an hour ago and got really fussy (not screaming, still unlike her) so I (Grammy) changed her diaper---just wet, not dirty. Still was fussy. I tried to walk around with her---didn't help much. So I layed her down on the floor on her tummy on a blanket and turned on the radio on KLUV. Instantly --- I mean instantly ----she lifted her head up and looked around, put her head down, and was calmed down immediatly---now she is sleeping sweetly like the sweet baby that she is. Never had a child do that before. I felt the hand of God. (:
